L9 Alloy Hex Nuts are designed for high stress, severe service environments.  L9 offers the hightest mechanical strength, higher clamp loads and superior holding.  L9's special features control torque-tension characteristics to develop maximum, consistent holding power.  180,000 to 200,000 PSI tensile strength.  Substantially stronger than SAE Grade 8 fasteners while possessing the minimum ductility of Grade 8 to eliminate embrittlement concerns.
